The Christian Medical and Dental Association of Dallas-Fort Worth (CMDA DFW) exists to glorify God by motivating, educating, and equipping Christian healthcare professionals and students to transform lives with the gospel. CMDA DFW's vision is to strengthen and equip physicians, dentists, PAs, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals with the wisdom and compassion of Christ as they transform their professional fields through holistic care.

We Serve
We offer various international mission opportunities through Global Health Outreach®, Medical Education International, and other ministries under CMDA. We also partner with local churches and other mission organizations to carry out medical missions.

Our focus
Your generosity enables our chapter to host impactful events like Faith Prescriptions, which equip healthcare professionals to integrate their faith into their practice with confidence and compassion. Your support also helps us foster relationships with local student chapters, encouraging and discipling the next generation of Christian medical and dental professionals. Giving plays a vital role in spreading the word about national conferences and mission opportunities, helping us connect more people to resources that strengthen their faith and calling in medicine and dentistry.
Our Local Area Leadership
Dr. Scott Stewart, DDS
Dr. Scott Stewart, DDS attended Baylor University for his undergraduate, then completed his dental training at the University of Texas in San Antonio. Scott served in Memphis at Christ Community Health Services before moving back to Texas. Scott’s passion is to serve the community with the talents the Lord has blessed him with, especially underserviced people and areas. Scott lives in south Fort Worth with his wife Ashley and two children, Clara and Boaz.
Jess Short
Jess Short is married to her high school sweetheart, Matt, who is an ER resident, and is a mom to two daughters. She has been involved with CMDA for several years through her leadership in Side By Side, a ministry for medical and dental wives. She is passionate about helping marriages thrive and has written a book called Rhythms of Relationship. Jess has lived on all the coasts of the U.S. and loves connecting with people in the medical community.
